USHERING IN THE NEW MOON IN ARIES AND THE BEGINNING OF THE ASTROLOGY DIALOGUES WEBSITE AND BLOG

The New Moon occurred this morning at 11:44 a.m. PDT in the 10th degree of Aries. The Moon joins the Sun and Uranus, which are also transiting Aries. As the beginning of the monthly lunar cycle, the New Moon represents a time to set new intentions to guide us over the next 28 days. Although the Moon will only transit Aries for 2.5 days (as it does every other sign), it does represent the time when we can start anew with a fresh emotional approach, launched from an Arian feeling state.

All this Aries energy asks us individually to consider where we may act as leaders, perhaps even pioneers or warriors, to initiate new thinking or undertake important actions in an area of personal or societal concern. Through involvement in activities, Aries learns courage.

Currently, the square is the astrological aspect that is emphasized right now, with Uranus squaring Pluto and Uranus squaring Jupiter. The square creates tensions that prompt us to take action. Uranus aspects often bring unexpected changes, surprises, and awakenings. This planet's energy encourages breakthroughs and out-of-the box thinking. On the other hand, Pluto wants to purge all that is unnecessary. Jupiter provides us with the faith and desire for improvement to guide our decision-making and actions.

The fireworks are just beginning folks, because April should be a particularly lively month, on a personal and global perspective. Although there may be areas in your life where you may want to throw caution to the wind, take precautions when driving (where people may be unusually aggressive) and make sure fires and electrical hazards are contained in your immediate environment.
